Funko Fusion now being available, we are allowed to share some gameplay footage of the game. Inside, you will find a video of the PlayStation 5 version showing the two graphics modes that are included. Now the question is, will the PS5 Pro version be updated to allow for 60 fps and better visual fidelity in a few months?

It was no secret, a PlayStation 5 Pro was bound to get released, with rumors stating it would be for this end of year. Well, the rumors were true, and this new version of the console embarking a 2TB SSD will even be available sooner than some expected, as it will ship on November 7 2024. That's the good news. As for the rest, well, opinions will probably vary. Sony chose to showcase the new console by using "old" PlayStation 5 exclusive, like Rift Apart, Spider-Man 2, Horizon Forbidden West or TLOU Part 2 Remastered, the point being that players will be able to enjoy fidelity modes with higher frame rates. Nice, but will it be enough to make people want to play these games again? Not quite sure. The addition of ray traced reflections during gameplay for GT7 is a lot more interesting, but Hogwarts Legacy seems to still be locked at 30 fps with ray tracing. It's a shame more recent releases such as Star Wars Outlaws or Black Myth: Wukong were not mentioned, let alone future exclusive AAA by PlayStation Studios.That said, the worst surprise of the event was obviously the pricing, though we all expected the Pro to be expensive. Still, $699/€799/£699 is a lot of money, especially considering there is no disc drive and no stand... It's a risky bet in our opinion. What do you guys think?

It took us long enough but here is finally our PlayStation 5 coverage of Black Myth: Wukong in all graphics modes. Sadly, none of them are satisfactory in our opinion, mainly because of unsteady frame rates and, in some of them, disappointing image quality. Obviously, with a game that demanding, it's not surprising to see compromises on a console, but we believe there should at least be an option to cap the framerate at 30 in Quality mode (provided the game is properly frame paced). A 40 Hertz mode would also be a welcome addition instead of the current Balanced mode, but something should also be done to image quality to make it more appealing. The Performance mode isn't steady enough, which again is understandable to some extent with all the game is trying to do, but we also hope there is a way to improve image quality a bit. All this is all the more frustrating as the game is very engaging, combat is satisfying and the game world is exciting. Level design is a bit of a letdown though, but this is partly due to the use of awkward invisible walls - on a side note, it's also very annoying to see an enemy can push the hero over the edge of a cliff while it's impossible for to jump to his death on purpose, letting the player believe it's a safe spot to fight. Other than that, it's really a game we'd like to explore more, with improved performance and image rendering ideally.

Let's now take a look at Star Wars Outlaws on GeForce NOW Ultimate as the PC version can take advantage of more advanced technology such as DLSS Direct Illumination, which is close to path tracing, and DLSS ray reconstruction. DLSS DI is sometimes quite taxing though, in some specific spots at least, so it should (and will?) be improved. For some reason, compared to the last Alan Wake 2 video we posted here almost a year ago, our ping went over the roof yesterday.

With all the games which have come out since Star Wars Outlaws and the coverage we've had to take care of, we haven't been able to make good use of the two codes Game Science kindly sent us when Black Myth: Wukong launched on August 20. It's also true we ere unavailable for some time because of the summer holidays, and for that, we apologize. We'll have some PlayStation 5 coverage as soon as possible but for now, we'll start with the PC version on GeForce NOW Ultimate. We might make another one with optimized settings if we can find the time. On a side note, it's crazy to think that the game has sold 18 million copies so far. Hats off!

Space Marine 2 is obviously quite a demanding game on PC, so for those of you who do not wish to spend their hard-earned money on a powerful PC, NVIDIA's GeForce NOW Ultimate is probably the way to go. The service doesn't come cheap of course, but it's less far less expensive than buying a recent config.

After Astro's Playroom, we had no doubt that Team Asobi would succeed in making Astro Bot a great platformer making the best que of the DualSense. We're happy to confirm that the game is excellent with many surprises throughout up until the end. As. Crazy as it might sound, the Test Drive Unlimited series is the reason I ended up being the editor-in-chief of this very website. Needless to say this franchise has a special place in my heart. True, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown was not developed by the original studio, but some of its members used to work at Eden Games. Since we got our copies of the game a little bit too late, we couldn't play much, even less so as we ran into a serious bug on Xbox Series X (for some reason, the game now keeps crashing, but the devs are aware and it seems to be a network related issue). Nacon provided us with a PS5 and PC version but we still didn't have much time to play. On PC, the game is very demanding and our RTX 2080 Ti cannot hold a steady 60 fps framerate with either high or ultra settings, unless we set the resolution to 1080p and use DLSS. As a result, image quality takes a pretty big hit. When trying to run the game at 1440p with DLSS, we can't go beyond the medium preset, and it's not even perfect. It's a shame as the PC version looks sharper than its console counterpart. Note that we've also seen some pretty visible slowdowns on PS5 when using the Performance mode in cockpit cam. Since we had very little time with this mode on Xbox, we can't say if the issue exists on Microsoft's machine, to the same extent or a lesser one.

Provided you don't mind the old school game and level designs, which clearly remind of the early Gears of War era, Space Marine 2 should offer you some action-packed co-op fun with up to three friends. The main campaign lasts about 12 hours, but you can then try Operation mode, which has you play (alone or with friends) as another team during some of the campaign missions to discover how it went for them. If multiplayer is more your thing, there's even a 6v6 game mode, though we haven't been able to give it a try and we obviously can't predict if it has a chance to keep players interested in the long run. There was a time when all game including a solo (or co-op) campaign also featured a multiplayer mode, so thanks to Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive, we get to feel a bit younger somehow. It feels a bit like time travel and it's kind of nice not to have to deal with crafting, loot, weapons upgrades or skill trees. Nostalgic players, get ready to crush some skulls!

The Casting of Frank Stone marks the 2024 return of Supermassive Games to a genre they have somehow invented, but this time, instead of creating their own game world, they worked with Behavior Interactive to bring the Dead by Daylight franchise into a new genre. From what we've seen, it's pretty engaging and effective, though it most certainly won't convince those who never really liked Until Dawn, Hidden Agenda, The Dark Pictures Anthology series or The Quarry. The way the game plays is very similar obviously, but the studio tried to add a few simple environmental puzzles and more natural character interactions (inspired by Naughty Dog's optional conversation system in TLOU and UC4).
